Swimming in the waters of the heavenly bay of Agiofili
One of the things one should not miss when in Greece is a daily boat trip. Agiofili beach is situated in a small bay on Lefkada island. You can get there by car, but since we crave adventures, we decided to get there by boat. The plan was to catch the earliest one, otherwise we would have arrived at an overcrowded beach. So, it was 10:30 a.m. and we were on our way to Agiofili.
Approaching the bay, we could see the fish swimming around.. The beach itself was rocky, just like all other beaches on the island. A snorkel with a swimming mask and shoes for the beach rocks is a good idea for this part of Greece. All packed up, we jumped into the deep blue water and the fun began.
The water was so clear that we could see everything at the bottom. It was also warm enough to spend hours swimming and soaking.
Водата беше кристално чиста и се виждаше всичко по дъното. Беше и достатъчно топла, затова не беше никакъв проблем да се кисна с часове.
There was a huge rock and people were jumping from it in the sea. It was also a great spot for taking panoramic photos. By lunch time, the beach was already crowded which is something typical for Greece.
Agiofili is one of the beaches which I highly recommend on Lefkada island. We also visited other beautiful beaches, but this one was both exciting and fun. What do you think of this place?

Thank you dear friend!
DeleteI think I want to jump into it right now :) It's so beautiful! I'm definitely seeing myself on the early boat as well. Love, love, love the underwater photos. I haven't done something like that in ages. It looks so clear, so blue, so heavenly beautiful. I've been scrolling the pictures and seeing them really makes me wanna miss summer that is going to end soon. Wonderful! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's sad that summer is ending soon. I am trying to make the most of the last hot days for this year. Thank you for your kind words Tijana!
DeleteI'd really want to go diving and swimming in such beautiful clean waters. My problem is that I'm so scared of swimming if I can't feel the bottom with my feet when my head is above the water.
ReplyDeleteI'm in love with your pictures though :))
Your underwater shots are incredibly awesome! I'm envious.
ReplyDeleteI miss the beach.
This looks ever so dreamy! I love how clear the water looks and blue. Stunning images.
