Heineken Experience

I decided to make 2 posts of the 2nd day of our stay and to show you more of the Heineken Experience Museum. You probably have noticed that I am a beer lover and I knew it was worth visiting. Situated in the city center, the Heineken Experience is not only a museum but a brewery too. It is huge and it takes about 2 hours to experience how one of the most popular beer brands in the world is made.

Gerard Adriaan Heineken is the founder of the popular brand. His quote "There is always something happening around a beer" is my favorite because if you just think about it, beer is one of the oldest beverages and people all over the world drink it. Do you agree?

We took a closer look at the brewery process. In each of the huge copper tanks, there was a short light presentation showing how the beer is being made, what the ingredients are and so on.

I didn't really like the WORT.

There was even a Heineken farm inside...

Here we made a Heineken degustation. We were shown what exactly we should do when drinking it in order to get fully satisfied. I enjoy it anyway but it was interesting to get to know some details about the foamy liquid such as why it has bubbles and how high the foam must be.

After that, we moved on to the party hall. Mitko was a good DJ.

But my set was better. OK, we both are good! :)

But we aren't really good at beer draughting.

There was a football room...

Chilling room...

Too many selfies in one day! That was all inside the museum. After the tour, there were 4 cold beers waiting for us. After we slaked our thirst, the journey continued.

We had a boat trip with a Heineken boat. It took us to the official store where everyone received a gift an original Heineken glass.

Hope you enjoyed the Heineken Experience as much as I did! You can check out a funny video of us singing a traditional Dutch song and dancing in a boat HERE :) Cheers!
